Bringing Back the Love (Elysant and Sevryn)

A mission from the Kami himself, to route out the cause of all this unrest within the country. The hulking giant thought the real reason was that his wife had been hit by this curse and has been causing him so much grief. It didn't matter to the large man. He had no woman himself so this was only being done because of the command given by the Kami. Of course they didn't send him alone. As capable as he was as a fighter and tank of mass destruction, they knew they needed someone with some tact so that this mission had a much higher chance of success. The massive brute looked down at the woman who sat on his forearm that he had curled against his chest. She was rather heavy even though she was fairly slim built, it made him wonder what was causing all that weight. Though not the brightest build, Sevryn knew not to ask a woman about her weight. "Do you know how far into the forest we need to go to find these Imps?" His voice was deep and rumbled, the smallest word reverberating in the chest like a roar of a lion.

What would drive a person to bicker with their special one? That was one concept she had never understood. Elysant had never been in love after all, in the romantic sense. She simply believed that this type of love was strong and could last forever from all the rumors she had heard and books she had read. Yet currently, all over Akiraka loved ones were bickering. In an effort to help the situation the Kami her to investigate the cause, an honor she could not even express with words. However, as capable of a fighter as she was, she knew that while she was clever and intelligent, even with her three years of training she was not fit to go alone. Her partner, a massive man known in the ranks of the army of Akiraka, Sevryn had placed her upon his giant forearm and was rushing towards the forest.

Her mind was not around, however, instead she began to think. Where would be the place where this troublemaker would reside. It was said some imps either had information or even know who the trouble maker was. Raising her head, she responded with a quick shake of her head. "Unfortunately no, we do not have enough information yet. But my current guess is deep in." Closing her eyes she began to sense the area around her for any unfamiliar presence. While difficult to sense while she was on the man's forearm she was still able to as he was standing on the ground. For a second a new presence entered the area before it would quickly disappear and reappear as if it were jumping up and down. She felt more presences show up, hiding behind trees. "Sevryn, let me down." She ordered as her muscles stiffen. Her voice was quiet, yet audible. "We have unwanted company." Placing her right hand on her sword's handle slowly, she closed her eyes as she began to focus, small outlines filled her mind. They were moving too quickly to count, but one thing was certain. They were most likely not friendly. Pointing her finger towards the figure she nodded at the giant. "Don't place full trust in my judgment but I believe they are what we are looking for."

A rumble quacked through the ground at every step of his massive foot. It was a good thing that they were looking for the Imps and these particular cretins were known for ambushing travelers because there was no way he would be able to sneak past. Though with his size there might also be a problem of potentially scaring them off. It might have been why Elysant had been sent with him. The way she could see through the Earth, even if these imps tried to from them, she would probably be able to sense him. With instruction to let her down stopped was signal enough for the brute that she probably had sensed something. As big as he was, stopping wasn't as easy as it sounded but within a few steps he had slowed enough to be able to take her off his arms. His massive hand grabbed her around the waist and lifted her easily off his arm onto the ground, almost like a kid playing with a doll. The way her power worked wasn't really all that familiar to him so he remained quiet, giving her plenty of time to think and search. His eyes followed her finger as she pointed just behind a tree.

"Right there?" It wasn't a really a question but sometimes his mind took a little bit to process new information. Without even letting her have a moment to respond, he charged the tree throwing his full weight against the tree, he brought the tree down on top of being right behind the being. The cracking of the tree snapping echoed through the forest forcing several Imps to jump from the tree and into the one beside it, their endless yells at them as they jumped down at pulled weapons to fight the giant and the girl.

As Axium came from the opposite direction, solely to fall back and to regroup with the party sent by higher command, he was greeted by Sevryn's brute force in the form of a tree now falling upon him. This wasn't a surprise as he was tailing some imps, small demonic little beings worth next to none in actually combat, though could get a drop on you in a crowd. As the tree continued to fall, Axium quickly drew his halberd and bluntly sent the falling tree into the next one, the one the imps had decided to retreat to. The force was not as strong as it usually was, rather it was tame and precise, and most likely was like this to give him a bit of a challenge with the cretins.

"I thought we taught you guys to call out before you started smashing things. If it was anyone else, I'm positive they would have died. Not to say that is a bad thing, seeing as this proves your worth to the country but leave it for some unworthy sow next time." As he spoke, the trees collided while the imps fell to the ground, now laying prone. Though they were not hurt much, mostly due to their heritage and magical being, they were still not in a well placed spot.

A large hand wrapped around her waist before it gently placed her back on the dirt floor of the forest. A gasp of relief escaped her lips as she could sense the outline of everything around her much better than she could when she was on Sevryn. She nodded as she pointed towards the outline of the tree where the imps were. Drawing her sword she found him charging at the tree she pointed at, while she followed the fastest she could. A loud crack of wood emitted from the tree as it soon followed with a shriek as it hit the ground with a rumble. Temporarily flinching at the sound of the falling tree, she quickly broke out of her daze and charged A group of small imps attempted to run from the tree. The other member, she thinks his name was Axium? Took his halberd and sent it into the tree collided with the tree. Feeling a little left out, she noticed the prone imps that were upon the floor after they fell. Tossing her sword to the side she took both hands and pressed them to the ground.

From beneath her hands, green crystals sprouted on the ground. It crept up to the fleeing imps and began to wrap around the imp's bodies, However, she knew that her abilities were weak and could be easily broken out of if one knew how. Currently, however, they would not be one to escape, especially when they were in such a prone position. "What should we do now?" She asked her partners, beckoning to the imps who were now coated in crystal as she went to the direction of her sword to pick it up.

Ability Used:

The Giant looked at the man that had originally brought him to his new home, but didn't really feel to bad about it. After all it was only a tree, not like he was purposely attempting to crush him like he had before. "Maybe you should call out to us instead of sneaking," The giant said in reply, but otherwise ignoring the man. Axium wasn't hurt and deserved no further consideration from the big man. He instead turned towards the Imps that once had been running now faced them with weapons drawn. A couple of the Imps that had fallen and now partially covered in crystal, did their best to get themselves out, chipping away at the crystal encasing them. Of the three that were trapped, only one of them was able to break away at the crystal keeping them pinned down to the ground. The other four made faces and mocked them, slapping their own asses and such.

Sevryn knew these little Imps weren't really much problem for the three of them but even this little bit of dishonor to them was enough to ignite the rage deep within him. Still only within the barest grip of his rage, he was still in control but he knew that he could easily fall in full grip. Sevryn felt the rage and he leaned forward and began to roar so loud that the leaves in the trees began to move away from the massive man. Slamming his fists into the ground he withdrew them with two large boulders in each and rock coating his forearms up to his elbows. Squeezing his hands against the rock, his fingers sunk into the stone easily as he slammed them together to make a far larger boulder. With all his strength he chuck the heap of earth at the Imps taunting them.

"Hmm, just end these things lives' quickly. The sooner we get what we need, the sooner we can go home. Though I'll think I'll take this little runt alive just encase." He spoke with a stern voice as he activated his Ki Step, quickly dashing and grabbing one of the imps alive before the boulder ran its course. As he grabbed the imp, he ran past the trees and continued up the nearest one to interrogate the imp. As he reached the top, he broke the arms and legs of the vile creature and waited. The six remaining ones wouldn't be of issue to the two comrades of his.

"Let me know when its over, I'll drop down once its done. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my company as is, though its more fun for me than the imp." This is what he cared to deal with at the time, and wanted this over as soon as possible. In his head, the plan ran as follow: First, kill all but one, then both search the dead and make the living one talk. Second, kill the last imp and removing all traces of the teams existence, though a more futile thought but just practice. And lastly move on to the point B of whatever this extensive mission was.

End their lives quickly. Elysant had learned to take orders, that was her purpose. Sure it may seemed a bit nonmoral to some, but that was an order from someone she respected, a higher up. She had no choice to obey, however, that did not mean she could not show some sort of sentiment towards their deaths. "I'll take care of the trapped ones." She replied, with a sad tone in her voice. After all, death was death. Nothing could dismiss the loss of a life. Running as fast as she could towards the escaping imps, she would take care of them one by one. She swung her sword as hard as she could towards the first of the two imps, it screamed as its screams were cut off. She had only hoped that it had died fast enough. The second imp stared at her with wide-eyed fear as it struggled to get out of the trap in an effort to avoid the same fate its friend had just had to face and one that it just watched.

Placing a foot on top of its chest so that it would be easier to kill, it squealed. Her voice became soft. "I'm sorry." She said quietly before she thought of a quick way to kill the imp, as painless as she possibly could. Deciding a beheading was the best choice she once against swung the blade. The blood of the imp splattered against the dirty floor of the forest. It was over, the two were dead. She could only hope that they had died quickly enough so that they would not have to suffer. Elysant sighed as she tossed placed her sword back upon her back. The deed was done. Sevryn may take care of the other imps although she wasn't sure and currently Axium was in the middle of interrogating the imp. "There's dead. What's next? Would you like me to search for the clues of where the cause of all this is?"

The boulder flew through the air with frightening speed, crashing towards the imps. The four that were free quickly scattered before the incoming stone, one of them quickly snatched up by Sevryn's comrade Axium. The one Imp that had been freeing himself from the crystal was quickly crushed beneath the rocks weight and force. This left only 5 left after the one crushed and the other snatched up by Axium. What Axium planned on doing with that Imp wasn't Sevryn's concern it was barely even a thought to him as the rage threaten to pull him into it's depths. His desire for destruction caused by his rage sent the brute after the three remaining Imps, his large frame surprisingly fast. The first Imp had barely the time to regain his feet after his saving dive before Sevryn swooped him up in his massive hand. The tiny demon's entire chest was firmly set in the grip of the Half-Golem's fingers, his limbs flailing about as he tried to figure out what was going on.

Seeing the giant's eyes staring down at him sent the little Imp into a panic, his arm striking out at Sevryn's hand and wrist. The packed earth protected Sevryn as he swung his entire arm, slamming the imp hard against a tree trunk. Bark flew off in several directions as part of the tree splintered from the force of the impact, the little imp going limp in the Giant's hand. His two companions free from the crystal attempted to attack Sevryn while his back was turned, their small bodies jumping onto his mountain's back and digging their knives into his body. Sevryn roared in anger, reaching back with his long arms, trying to catch one of the small creatures stabbing him with their knives. Small and weak as they might be, the imps were agile and fairly fast. Every time he tried to grab them, they quickly jumped to another spot on his back and bit him with their steel tooth. Frustrated and rage tightening it's fingers around him, Sevryn leap into the air and fell backwards, planning on crushing them with his weight and the earth.

Both Imps, realizing his plan, tried to jump off him before his began his fall. Only one succeeded in time, leaping over his shoulder into the air as the Giant fell back to their earth. Sevryn's long arm and massive hand was quicker than the Imp. Without the mobility of jumping around the Giants back he wasn't able to evade the grab Sevryn made, his fingers wrapping around the Imp as he fell back towards the Earth. The ground shook with the weight of his giant body hitting the ground, Imp unlucky enough to get stuck was nothing more than a gory mass of blood and flesh. Only 1 Imp remained living from the 7 that had first been their targets. Save for the one that Axium held hostage. The final squirmed and stabbed to get free from Sevryn's hand, but to no avail. The rock armor he wore was more than enough to stop the measly daggers penetrating bite and his strength was more than a match for the Imps. Fueled by the pain from their earlier attacks, Sevryn squeezed the Imp. His fist tightened slowly, the rage within him bring forth a desire to make the demon to suffer as much as possible. The Imps screams of pain pierced the forest, drowning out all the rest of sounds as it reached it's crescendo. All at once, the screams of the Imp stopped and his tiny body popped under the pressure of Sevryn's grip. Blood and gore fell onto the Giant, staining his face and neck as he regained his feet and roared with Victory.

As the group below finished up their massacre of the weak hell spawn below, Axium had finished doing what he had planned to do. As a could be heard, a now neck broken imp fell from tree limb to tree limb till it splattered upon the ground. Not to far behind the imp, Axium safely landed below with the other two. "Well, you would have though something originating from hell would have been stronger. Weaklings couldn't even survive a single hit from any of us. Anyways..." Axium's conversation as he pulls out a cloth note. The note itself had been written in an impish language, though not to hard to read. It's meaning had him complex though as he held his hand out for the others to read.

"...As it is written, its words that I can read though its exact objective we may have to be here for a moment. It shouldn't be too hard for us, just will take us time." When whoever would take the not, Axium had planned to take a seat so that they could discuss the 'encryption'. He would take out his water flask to drink and await the others opinions on the matter.

"Can I see that note Axium?" Elysant as reached her hand out for the note. Her eyes quickly scanned the note, it was difficult to read as she was not fluent in impish language however she made out a few words. "Kalidor. Hermit. Danger. Deep forest." Frowning, she looked at the map. "I am guessing this is telling us to go to Kalidor forest and look for a man named the Hermit?" She guessed. However that would mean they would have to go deeper into the forest. Was this were the Cupid was? And where was this located? Curious, she turned the note around and saw a map. "Was this the path we were going to follow?" She asked. Shrugging, she began to walk slowly towards the direction it told her to walk towards. "Should we go or should we do something else?"


(OOC: Apologize for the short post. Not in the best condition to be posting currently.)

Sevryn took several long deep breaths, staring around with fury in his eyes for any more enemies for him to destroy. The imps were all dead though, the object of his building anger, and with them gone so did the main source of his rage. The pounding that had welled up inside him slowly abated allowing him to regain control of all his faculties, allowing him to assess the situation through calm eyes. His two companions had already found something and were reviewing it as the huge man lumbered over to them. Leaning down to take a look at the map, his large body completely blocked the light as he hover over the other two. "So we're heading deeper into the Forest?" Tilting his head to the side, he tried to read the map so that they could get going but he was never good at understanding a map. Looking in one direction to the other, the big brute tried to figure out which way to go. "Hmmm I think that the guy we're suppose to kill is that way," he pointed in the opposite direction of the hermit, sounding so sure of himself. For some reason he assumed the Hermit was the person they were suppose to kill.

Elysant blinked as she looked towards the giant who was heading the wrong direction. "Sevryn. That's the wrong direction!" She said in a confused voice. Looking at Axium for backup to convince him to move her way she suddenly saw a bright flash of light. When the light had faded, a black mark and a wisp of smoke appeared where he once stood. She was taken aback a bit. Had he teleported back to Akiraka because the Kami had summoned him? She would never know. For now, she can push that issue to the side. Right now she needed to try to convince Servyn to go back to the correct path. "Here," She said trying to stop the man from going the wrong way. Pointing to the map the continued to explain. "This is where we are. That symbol there shows north, south, east and west. The heart of the forest is at the west side.

Shielding her eyes from the harsh sunlight she noticed that it was slowly beginning its descent downwards. "If I remember correctly, the sun sets at west. So that is the direction we're supposed to head. Come on, Sevryn." She said in a desperate attempt to get him to come her direction. "Just trust me this time?"

"Are you sure?" Sevryn looked up at the sky with her and then just shrugged, it was better if he trusted her, "Very well, I'll trust you." Without even thinking twice about it, Sevryn swooped her up with his large hand and set her on his forearm. He turned towards the direction she had indicated. The dark looming forest was nearly daunting in its size. Even with Sevryn being as large as he was, he felt almost dwarfed by the giant trees. There was something evil about it too and as much as Sevryn wanted to rush head first and get this all over with, even with his general lack of sense he knew that wouldn't be a good idea. "You're sure that we're suppose to go this way?" It wasn't really a question, after all this was the way she said they were suppose to go, but he felt uneasy about the whole thing.

The tree loomed around them both as he walked deeper into the forest. The trees and ground teamed with life. Birds chirping, insects rattling and snakes slithering along the floor. Everything about this forest was sinister. "Elysant, does that map say how far into the forest this Hermit is?" Sevryn looked up at a branch just as a snake snapped it's jaws around a singing bird. Death and carnage wasn't something unfamiliar to the giant but still there was something especially sinister about all that. The distraction though was enough for him to not realize hazard that was just in front of them. The quicksand didn't start sinking right away as he stepped on it's area, nor did it on his second or third step. On his fifth step, Sevryn's foot suddenly sunk down a good few feet, pitching him forward and sending Elysant flying up as he tossed her forward.

A wave of relief washed over her internally as Sevryn believed this was the path where they would go. Elysant found herself suddenly picked up and placed on the forearm of the giant. While this action had momentarily caught her off guard, she did not say anything about it. However, the dark and giant forest caused her to feel uneasy yet wary. There was a strange aura, trying to sense what was in there had only succeeded in making her confused. The outline seemed... misshapen and oddly shaped. It was difficult for her to tell what was inside this forest. She looked at Sevryn. "I believe so. However, I've never seen a forest with this type of atmosphere or sinister look..." Taking a look at her map she began to look how far it would take in order to travel to the hermit's house. Frowning she gave her estimate, "I'm unable to give the exact time but if I were to estimate maybe it would be for another ten to twenty minutes. Fortunately, it's not that far. We were already very deep within."

A sudden movement jerked her upwards and at the same time, she was tossed forward by the giant. Landing on the dirt face first, cursed slightly before rubbing her face. Upset, she turned around to see what caused Sevryn to throw her when Elysant noted something alarming. His leg was deep within quicksand which may have been the reason he had thrown her. Quicksand. She couldn't tell that it was with her sense, after all, she can only tell the outline and when no one had stepped in it, the quicksand appeared to be just like any other earth. She began to think, what would be a smart idea to do in this situation. She could try to pull him up. She was very strong, but it would be a risk if he was too heavy as she would be pulled in as well. But what other choice did she have? She ran towards Sevryn as fast as she could and attempted to grab his hand. If she succeeded to do so, she would try to pull him out of the pit. She could only hope this would work

The sudden sinking of his foot was definitely a surprise for Sevryn, but due to his overwhelming size though, he wasn't about to sink any time soon. Looking up towards Elysant, he saw her reaching out to take his hand but he was worried that he was as likely to pull her in. "Elysant get back, I don't want you pull you into this by accident." Stretching out as much as he could, Sevryn grabbed onto a Vine that was lying near Elysant's feet. Giving a quick tug to make sure it was sturdy, Sevryn began to pull himself out of the quicksand, foot by foot. Nearly all the way out of the quicksand was when the vine struck. It immediately wrapping itself around his wrists and flung Sevryn hard against one of the largest trees before several other vines wrapped themselves around him.

Elysant hesitantly pulled back her hand as Sevryn told her not to try to pull himself up. She was conflicted. It would risk driving her back in but she didn't want the quicksand to destroy her partner. However, she did not notice that there was a thick vine right next to her feet before he firmly gripped onto it. Silently she watched him climb up the vine slowly, a foot by foot until he finally pulled himself out of it. She was about to run towards him before the vine he was holding onto violently wrapped itself around his wrist and flicked him towards a nearby tree. Elysant was stunned, was the vine sentient? More began to wrap itself around his body which caused her to act quicker. 

Vines, plants, thickness. Her mind raced. Unlike the quicksand, the vines could quickly kill him so she had to think quick. Fortunately for her, she was stress and stressed made her mind work quickly. Her hand immediately went to the sword on her back as she began to swing the sword as hard as she could at the vines. Her blade sunk deep, and while it wasn't a quick and clean job it did the trick. The vines began to brown and wilt as soon as she severed apart from it. Without a second though she continued to hack at the vines, one by one. After she finished the last vine, she closed her eyes as she began to scan around for any nearby vines. Once she confirmed so she sighed as she placed the sword back on her back and fell to the ground to lie down and rest. Looking upwards she noted sadly that the trees were too thick for her to tell what time it was. The forest was quite beautiful in its own way, however, from the flowers that were right next to her. Taking a deep breath she began to cough slightly as some of its pollen had entered her mouth when she had begun to breathe.

Suddenly something strange began to happen. Right across from the quicksand was a dragon! One made of wood and was snarling at her. Quickly she jumped to her feet and took the sword from her back. "Sevryn we need to beat this dragon! Quickly!" She began to charge, making sure to avoid the quicksand this time. The dragon charged at her as well and in response, she quickly swung her sword at it. But strangely her sword kept going through. What type of creature was this wooden dragon?

Vines! How in the world could vines be strong enough to bind a behemoth like Sevryn. Some how they were and every second he could feel their strong binds tightening around his entire body. One of the thick vines, slithered it's way around his neck, slowly squeezing the breath from him. Thud. A vine dropped it's hold on his right arm. Thud. Another loosened the hold it had on the giant. Sevryn looked down his countrymen hacking away at the vines holding him in place. Now wanting to waist her effort, Sevryn began ripping at the vines with all his strength finally getting free and falling back to the Forest floor. The large brute gasped, trying to regain his breath from nearly having his throat closed off by the large thick vines. This was an enemy that he couldn't just rage against and tear to shreds, it was the forest itself.

At Elysant's scream of a dragon, Sevryn quickly got to his feet, looking around widly. His eyes searching every inch of the forest but didn't see a thing. Taking a deep breath to calm his frantic search, he looked around again. Sevryn, just Elysant, had breathed in the pollen from the wicked flower. There was a feeling he got from breathing it in as he looked towards the place Elysant was swinging her blade. He saw it. A Dragon large and fierce, scales of steel glittering all down it's back. Taking a large breath to roar a challenge against the dragon, Sevryn sneezed. The pollen was swiftely expelled from Sevryn's lungs and the dragon disappeared. "Elysant, the dragon! I think it...." Sevryn sneezed again and wiped away his nose. "The Dragon, it can turn invisible."

She couldn't damage the dragon. As hard as she tried to swing her sword, it simply shot straight through it. When she tried to shoulder bash it, she just ran straight through it. Was this dragon a ghost? "Sevryn! Help me with this dragon!" She shouted. Elysant noticed Sevryn loudly roaring before he sneezed loudly which she did not react to. What she did not expect was the fact that Sevryn had said the dragon disappeared. Confusion entered her brain. "I can still see the dragon. What are you talking about?" A new realization came to her as he said so. A ghost dragon can turn invisible for some people. She was unable to hit it, but was it able to hit her? Jumping out of the way slightly, the dragon lifted its enormous foreleg and raked its claws along her shoulder. To her surprise, it phased through. This dragon did not have the ability to harm her. Realizing this, she began to run. 

"Sevryn! The dragon's a ghost! It can't hurt us, so let's just run to the hermit's house as fast as we can!" She pleaded with the giant. Map in hand she began to run deeper, only hoping that she could find the hermit's house before the ghost dragon gained the ability to inflict actual damage onto her.

"It's a ghost?" Sevryn had never fought anything before that he couldn't at least try to injure. Seeing Elysant run though was enough for him. Moving his massive body, he charged after his countrymen. As big as he was, he was actually quicker than Elysant. So as he passed, he swooped her up in one of his large hands, setting her on his shoulder this time to allow use of both his hands. With her on his shoulder, he leap into the air using all the strength he had to send both him and Elysant flying as high up as he could. Reaching with his arm, he grabbed one of the thick vines dangling from the branches. The combine weight from the two would have usually been more than enough to snap any normal vine. But after feeling the strength of those vines from earlier, Sevryn was positive that these would hold them. His meaty fingers wrapped around the thick vine and the giant prepared to swing from through the forest to the next vine.

This didn't happen though. At the moment that Sevryn and Elysant began to descend from the jump, the moment Sevryn thought they'd start swinging, they didn't. Instead the vine just started falling with them. Falling several feet, the vine finally snapped taught and swung both the Akirakans through the air. Just below had been a tangle of wiggling vines, ready to grab them both, but they were saved from that fate. The swung and Sevryn let go at the peak of the forward swing and grabbed another vine. This one held tight right from the beginning and they swung again. All the treacherous quicksand pits and grabbing vines flew past them as they soared from vine to vine. Sevryn never saw the ghost dragon again, which was good in his opinion. He did see small wisps of smoke coming out from the top of a large tree stump. "That must be the hermit," the giant shouted up towards his companion, swinging towards the stump and landing just out side what looked like someone's front porch.

Running was exhausting but she had no choice to in a life or death situation. Fortunately, Sevryn had scooped her up and placed him on his shoulder before they both began to run some more. The dragon roared as it began to charge after them. "Sevryn, be careful its running after us!" She knew there was nothing she could do to keep him to run fast. At one point, Sevryn had to swing across a vine in an effort to escape. Clutching him so she wouldn't fall she took a deep breath before she let out an equally loud exhale, expelling the pollen within her brain. However, the vine snapped which almost led them both to certain death before the giant grabbed another vine. She looked around for signs of the ghost dragon which had seemingly disappeared. Sighing due to the fact there was no more ghost dragon, her eyes looked around warily and saw a house.  "It does appear to be the hermit's house. There's only one way to find out." Placing her hand on the door she sighed warily before knocking on the door. 

A few minutes later, no one opened the door so she knocked again. This time the door opened. A man, old and dressed in what appeared to be a nightgown came and opened. His face was cranky and his voice matched his appearance. "What's this? A visitor? In the middle of the night? I hardly get visitors. But can you save this for the morning?" Taking a brief glance to the sky she briefly wondered how he could tell it was night with all this foliage. 

"No it cannot," She replied. "I'm Elysant and this is Sevryn, both of us are from Akiraka. We're here to talk to you about the troublemaker. This is very urgent. But it is said you can help us find what is causing mischief here."

Sevryn shut the door behind the both of them. There were no words for what the two countrymen had just experienced. "That man is extremely weird." Trying to get directions from that old guy was like trying to get a blind man to draw a picture for them. It was just a mess of information but at least they had a little idea of which way to go and what they were going to have to do. Since it seemed that the easiest way for them to avoid the vines that could rip them apart and the quicksand that would pull them deep into the earth was to swing through the air, Sevryn grabbed Elysant once more and placed her on his shoulder. Getting a running start, his thundering steps shaking the ground and the hermit's home, Sevryn jumped into the air and grabbed a vine, swinging through the forest. The old man rushed out side of his home, shouting something angry at them.

The forest, though still dark and creepy, seemed far less dangerous when none of the things that could harm you was able to reach you. The tops of the ruins poked up between the trees as they swung through the forest. Crumbling walls and ancient moss covered stone was enough for everyone to know that it had been there for a very long time. "What do you think this guardian of the ruins is?" Sevryn shouted above the loud sound of the wind whistling pass their ears, curious about what they should be expecting. His giant body landed with a thud in front of a bridge that crossed a stagnant lake towards the ruins in the center.

Her mind was swarming with thoughts. "Seven miles northeast." Being placed on his shoulder once more, she began to think. A big, powerful and fast creature. This seemed dangerous, however, they were required to defeat this beast in order to be able to progress. To find the one they were looking for, there were more trials. "How fast do you think you can get to the ruins? Seven miles is a long time, but we can't stop..." She said with a slight fret in her voice. While she was physically ok, she felt slight concern for Sevryn, however, she had the feeling that he would be ok. "If you want, we can rest now." She said. Her thoughts suddenly swarmed some more. "What do I think the guardian is? Well, I believe the guardian might be something dangerous. Maybe like a shapeshifting creature." Sevryn's thumping footsteps filled the air as he ran through the forest. The forest foliage began to get less and less thick as the sky was once again visible. Like the hermit had said, it was nighttime. The silver moon shone a pale moonlight upon the two. Squinting her eyes she pondered. "Is that the ruins?"
